Amador Community Foundation Board – 2023
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
John Williamson
Raised in Amador County, John attended Jackson Elementary, Jackson Jr. High, and Argonaut High School. John’s family has lived in Amador County for 5 generations on Clinton Rd. in Jackson. He loves Amador County and wants to live here for the rest of his life while giving back to the community. He lived in the Sacramento area for around 8 years where he graduated with a Marketing Degree from Sierra College and worked in Sales. John moved back to Amador County and worked in Marketing, Event Planning, and Human Resources for 9 years before joining the Amador Community Foundation.
John said, “I am very excited to be a part of the Amador Community Foundation. I wanted to do something I would enjoy and help the community as much as possible, so this seems like the perfect fit.”
John and his wife, Ciara, welcomed their first baby boy into the world in February of 2022, and both John and Ciara are very excited about being parents. In his free time, John loves playing and watching multiple sports, working out, camping, hiking, boating, traveling, and spending time with his family and friends. John is also a member of the Jackson Lions Club.
